Moving documents with the Clipboard

Unlike pasting documents from the Clipboard, after moving documents with the Clipboard, all document properties remain the same except the name of the parent folder. The Clipboard does not support moving folders. If documents are linked to multiple folders, moving them with the Clipboard only unlinks them from the folders in which they were added to the Clipboard. The documents remain linked to the other folders.

To move documents with the Clipboard:

1. Add the documents to the Clipboard that you want to move as described in Adding items to the Clipboard.
2. View the property page of the folder where you want to move the documents.

3. In the Documents view, in the ribbon, in the Clipboard group, click Paste Move. A confirmation page appears.

   Clear the checkboxes of folders that you do not want to unlink the documents from.

4. Click Yes, unlink document(s).
